Argonne Repaving Nov 2-4

News from City of Spokane Valley

An end-of-the-season opportunity to get a section of Argonne Road repaved will mean some temporary traffic restrictions between I-90 and Montgomery. The project means the deteriorated roadway can be resurfaced before the winter freeze-thaw cycle causes further deterioration and rough driving.

Crews will grind down the asphalt of the southbound lanes during overnight hours from 7:00pm to 12:00 midnight on Wednesday, November 2 in preparation for paving Thursday, November 3 between 9:00am and 3:00pm.  Southbound traffic lanes will be reduced during those hours.

Asphalt in the northbound lanes will be ground during overnight hours on Thursday, November 3 between 7:00pm and 12:00 midnight, with paving conducted on Friday, November 4between 9:00am and 3:00pm.  Drivers can expect northbound lane reductions during those hours.

Access to businesses will remain available while work is under way. Minor interruptions to driveway access may be expected.  Those affected will be contacted directly in advance.

Traffic congestion and delays may be expected.  Drivers whose destinations are outside the construction area may wish to use alternative routes during the project work hours.
