Kelly has spent her career building and cultivating relationships with officials at all levels of government as well as in the aviation, energy, electrical and electronic manufacturing fields. Kelly is currently the Manager of Public and External Affairs at Spokane International Airport where she is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local, state, and federal government officials agencies, staff and relevant industry and community groups.
She brings over 20 years of experience in leading and working with diverse groups with divergent interests in the development of collaborative and comprehensive plans and policy that grow necessary infrastructure, enhance economic and workforce development, and support community interests. She also has extensive experience in government and public affairs, communications, strategic management, long term resource planning, analysis and accounting. She has previously worked at Avista, the Pinnacle Marketing Group and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.
Kelly earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Gonzaga University. She was recently appointed to a six year term as Commissioner on the Washington State Transportation Commission. She is the past chair of the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce and serves on the regional chamber’s Joint Transportation Coalition. She also serves as Chair of the WSU Spokane Advisory board, Chair of College Success Foundation and is the past board chair for Girls Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Kelly is the proud mom of three great kids, Mason (18), Abbey (16), and Jack (14).
