Kevin Rasler is the President and General Manager of Inland Empire Paper Company. Operating in Millwood since 1911, “IEP” produces a broad range of specialty paper products and remains one of original pioneers in paper recycling. The company also manages 120,000 acres of timberland for wood products and recreation, and operates a commercial trucking and freight brokerage business.
A Washington State University graduate in Chemical Engineering, Mr. Rasler also attended the University of Chicago and Stanford business schools. Over the course of his career, Mr. Rasler has enjoyed key roles in modernizing the paper making operation into a state-of-the-art facility. Current focus is on adapting the paper mill to take advantage of the ongoing evolution of paper markets, workforce development efforts to ensure manufacturing remains a driving economic force in our community, and pursuit of forest land conservation easements that will help keep the outdoor opportunities in our community available to all.
Spokane has been home for Kevin and his wife Jill for nearly 40 years where they have invested time and energy supporting Second Harvest, Hospice House, Boy Scouts and Scraps. Passion for the great outdoors includes hiking, biking, skiing and anything else that requires “being out there”.
