Licett Figueroa Garbe has an extensive background in community and government relations. She served as a congressional staffer for many years in Los Angeles County where she served in a variety of roles including Caseworker, Field Representative and Scheduler. Licett was a liaison to federal, state, and local governments, contributing to all activities throughout the district and maintaining strong ties with community leaders and businesses. Her portfolio included the issues of public safety, veterans, transportation and infrastructure, and immigration. Upon her relocation to Spokane, Licett worked for the Washington Military Department, Air National Guard Division based out of Fairchild AFB, Washington. She helped support the forces who work to minimize the impact of emergencies and disasters on people, property, environments, and the economy of Washington state. Prior to joining the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, Licett served as a Partnership Specialist with the U.S. Census Bureau, where she led the outreach and relationship management for Eastern Washington and later the entire state. During her tenure, she was recognized as one of the specialists with the leading partnerships in the western U.S. region. She specialized in community engagement with rural populations as well as leading the Latino outreach efforts in the State of Washington.
