Tami has spent her career leading collaborative efforts to enhance public services and create resilient livable communities. She has extensive experience in city/county government and has lead teams in numerous aspects of municipal services including public works, community services, economic development, urban renewal, facilities and event management, environmental and utility services, and emergency management. 

Tami is currently a Senior Manager of Public Sector Solutions for Waste Management in the Pacific Northwest.  She is responsible for municipal and community engagement, business development and retention, and customer outreach in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. 

She brings 30 years of experience in facilitating community participation in strategic plans to enhance economic development, create jobs and build infrastructure and services to support growth. Tami previously worked for the City of Vancouver, Clark County, Cowlitz County, and King County. Tami earned bachelor’s degree from George Fox University and a Master of Public Administration Degree from Portland State University. 

Tami is the incoming chair of the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce. Tami and her husband enjoy volunteering in the community together. Her most recent volunteer experience includes: Providence Hood to Coast Relay Manager, Red Cross, C.E.R.T. program instructor and Ride for Life Committee to support ACCO.org. She’s helped these organizations develop strategic plans, recruit and train volunteers, fundraise, and manage events. Tami is the proud mom of a Chief Warrant Officer II who flies Apache Helicopters for the US Army and grandma of 2 boys Wesley (9) and Titus (3) currently stationed in Alaska.
