Brooke Baker Spink is a proud Spokane native and a Washington State University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in Marketing and International Business. After college, Brooke went to work for State Farm Insurance and helped open a scratch agency and establish a flourishing book of business for two years before she was promoted to State Farm’s Corporate office. As an Agency Field Consultant for State Farm Corporate, Brooke worked for three years overseeing nearly 30 offices to help grow her territory. In 2013, she left the company to work for her family’s business, Baker Construction & Development.

In her seven years with the company, she has helped bring in nearly $80,000,000 of new business while also helping the company grow into the hospitality and multifamily sectors. Brooke loves working with her mentor/Dad, Barry Baker- President/CEO, and is honored to be working for a company her grandparents started in 1951.

Brooke was named to Catalyst’s “20 Under 40” list in 2015, completed the Leadership Spokane program in 2016, was named a Journal of Business “Rising Star” in 2018, and was named the “Emerging Leader of the Year” by the Spokane County United Way in 2018.

She currently serves the community in the following capacity: Spokane Sports Commission board member, Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce board member, Honorary Commander at Fairchild Airforce Base, Innovia Foundation Finance Committee member, University District Marketing and Engagement committee member and will begin serving on the Greater Spokane Incorporated Board in 2021.

Brooke is married to Steve, an orthopedic trauma sales representative, and they welcomed their daughter, London, on St. Patrick’s Day in 2020. Brooke and Steve have a passion for travel, golf, and hanging out in sweatpants at home as often as possible.  Those that know Brooke note her zest for life, ability to make people around her feel comfortable, and her corny sense of humor she inherited from her Dad.
