With a professional foundation built on hotel operations,
sales, branding, and development, for more than two decades, Grant Guinn helped
define and drive the global growth and brand strategy at Hilton’s corporate
office. Previously a Sr. Director for Hilton Garden Inn hotels, Mr. Guinn
helped grow the Hilton Garden Inn hotel chain from 140 hotels in 3 countries to
over 700 hotels in 26 countries, focusing mostly on the brand’s Americas,
Europe, and Asia/Pacific expansion.
Now, as a Founding Member and Managing Partner,
Mr. Guinn leads GL8 Hospitality, LLC’s development and market expansion.
Most recently, owning, developing, and opening the 92-room Tru by Hilton
Spokane Valley, the first Tru by Hilton hotel in the State of Washington. Before
founding GL8 Hospitality, LLC, Mr. Guinn was Vice President of Development at
both Domio and Stay Alfred, Inc., two nationwide urban short-term vacation
rental companies.
Mr. Guinn is an active member of the Spokane
Valley community. He’s currently a member of the City of Spokane Valley’s
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC), a Commissioner on the City of Spokane
Valley Hotel and Motel Commission (TPA), Spokane County’s representative on the
Spokane Hotel and Motel Commission (TPA), a Board Member at Visit Spokane, and
is a Mentor/Investor to students through New York University’s (NYU) School of
Professional Studies, Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality. He
graduated from University High School in Spokane Valley and then earned his
Bachelor of Science degree in Travel Management from Brigham Young University –
Hawaii, located in Laie, Oahu, Hawaii.
After working at hotels in Los Angeles,
downtown Spokane, Spokane Valley, and Boise, and at the Hilton corporate office
in Beverly Hills and Memphis, he and his family returned to the Spokane area in
2014.
