Lance Beck is a native of Spokane County. He attended Whitworth University where he double majored in Marketing and Business Administration and also earned a minor in Leadership Studies. He began his career with the Spokane Shock arena football team in 2007. Lance assisted in leading the team’s transition from the af2 to the AFL. He held multiple positions throughout his time with the team which culminated at the Director of Marketing and Operations. In 2012 Lance relocated to Newport, OR where he served for six plus years as the Director of Marketing for the Oregon Coast Aquarium, a nationally recognized top-10 accredited facility. In addition to this role, he also served as the Chair for the City of Newport’s Destination Newport. This role had oversight of the partnership between the City’s lodging and tourism revenue investments and the local chamber of commerce serving as the destination marketing organization. In 2018, Lance returned home to Spokane after accepting his current role as President and CEO for the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, he enjoys many of this region’s outdoor recreational activities. Favorites include, golf, sailing, cycling, skiing and snowmobiling.
