Lukas Garcia was born and raised in Kennewick, Washington. Lukas began his career in politics as an undergraduate at the University of Washington, where he was the student body’s Director of Legislative Affairs. In this role, Lukas was the University’s main student advocate and moved to Olympia to lobby the state legislature full-time during the 2019 session. Before joining the Valley Chamber, Lukas worked in Senator Andy Billig’s office in downtown Spokane as his Legislative Assistant.
What excites Lukas the most about joining the Valley Chamber is combining his passion for helping people and affecting policymaking to ensure our elected officials consider the impacts their decisions have on our area’s business climate.
In his free time, Lukas likes cycling, reading, boxing, playing Minesweeper, and making wine with his dad. His favorite places in Spokane Valley are Corner Door Fountain & Books in Millwood, Trailbreaker Cider in Liberty Lake, and the Veteran’s Thrift store.
