SPOKANE COUNTY WILDFIRE RESOURCES (1)

Dear Members,

Like so many across our region, we have been heartbroken by the devastation caused by the Spokane County wildfires. Our thoughts remain with the families who have lost their homes, those still under evacuation orders, and the firefighters, law enforcement, utility crews, emergency personnel, and volunteers working tirelessly to protect our community.

While much of the destruction has been residential, we know many businesses have employees, customers, friends, and family members who have been directly impacted. As your Chamber, we want to help connect our business community with trusted resources and meaningful ways to support recovery.

Resources for Employers & Employees
We’ve included an Employee Resource Guide developed by Associated Industries that you are welcome to share with your employees. It includes information on emergency shelter, food assistance, financial support, housing resources, mental health resources, pet assistance, recovery planning, and more.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business Resilience Hub: Business continuity planning, disaster recovery resources, and tools for employers.

Help Us Connect Our Community

One of the Chamber’s greatest strengths is bringing people and resources together.

Many of our members have already stepped up by offering services, supplies, space, and other support. If your business has resources you’d like us to share with others, or if you’re aware of additional verified resources that may benefit our business community, please send them to Jessica@spokanevalleychamber.org. We’ll continue compiling and sharing information as needs evolve.

We’ll also be reaching out to members in the coming days to better understand how businesses, employees, and their families have been impacted and identify ways our Chamber can support the recovery efforts ahead.

Our community has always shown remarkable resilience, generosity, and compassion. Thank you for all you’re doing to support your employees, your neighbors, and one another during this difficult time.

Please stay safe.
