Strong schools and a strong economy go hand in hand. The programs, experiences and learning environments available to students today help shape the workforce and community we will have tomorrow.
After hearing directly from district leaders and reviewing the measures, the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors voted to support the replacement levy measures proposed by Central Valley, East Valley and West Valley school districts for the November 3rd, 2026 election.
The Chamber supports:
- Central Valley School District:
Replacement Educational Programs and Operations levy.
- East Valley School District:
Replacement Capital levy.
- West Valley School District:
Replacement Educational Programs and Operations levy and capital projects levy.
These measures renew existing, voter-approved funding rather than establish new levies.
Educational Programs and Operations levies help fund student programs and services that are not fully covered by the state, including safety and student support, extracurricular activities, athletics, career and technical education, and other learning opportunities. The capital measures proposed by East Valley and West Valley support continued investment in safe, secure and functional school facilities.
These local investments help students build the knowledge, skills and experiences they need after graduation. They also support the workforce pipeline on which our employers and regional economy depend.
