A message from the Board of Directors:

The Executive Committee would like to provide an update on the status of our search for the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce’s next leader.  We endeavor to communicate regularly on this important process and going forward will provide status updates in the Friday Faves e-newsletter.
Our process has begun to select an executive search committee which will be made up of members of the executive committee, board, and general membership.  Garnering diversity amongst our leadership and membership will ensure that the diverse and growing needs of our chamber are represented in this important decision.  We are fortunate that we have many wonderful members from which to choose. We plan to share the names of those who have agreed to be on the committee next week.
We are also working to develop a survey of the membership to obtain information regarding what you would like to see in your next chamber leader.  We expect to have this survey out within the next couple of weeks.  This will help ensure that our job description accurately reflects the needs of our staff and growing membership.  We have appreciated and value the feedback we have already received and will continue to seek feedback into the future.
Rest assured we are working as expediently as possible, however,  we also recognize the importance of this process.  Therefore, we will be balancing urgency with an appropriate level of deliberation to ensure that our process yields the next visionary leader for our chamber of commerce.
