Getting Involved in the “Greater Outdoors”

February 2, 2017

On Wednesday, February 15, the Department of Parks and Recreation is looking for input from our business community on the development of the next section of the Appleway Trail.  Your insights and input are critical as we all partner to preserve, protect and promote our greatest resource: the Greater Outdoors.
The Appleway Trail project runs within the old Milwaukee Rail Road right-of-way from University to Corbin.  It will be transformed into a regional and neighborhood destination multi-use trail.  The trail is being constructed to create a safe, shared-use path that is accessible to both pedestrians and cyclists; to provide safe street crossings where the trail meets the road and to invite a diverse set of users by creating a variety of historically themed features within the trail.
