Like so many across our region, we have been heartbroken by the devastation caused by the Spokane County wildfires. Our thoughts remain with the families who have lost their homes, those still under evacuation orders, and the firefighters, law enforcement, utility crews, emergency personnel, and volunteers working tirelessly to protect our community.
While much of the destruction has been residential, we know many businesses have employees, customers, friends, and family members who have been directly impacted. As your Chamber, we want to help connect our business community with trusted resources and meaningful ways to support recovery.
Resources for Employers & Employees
Spokane Complex Fire Business Resource Hub: Intended to be a central resource designed in collaboration from Downtown Spokane Partnership, Greater Spokane Inc, Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, Spokane Business Association, Visit Spokane, and West Plains Chamber of Commerce connecting businesses, nonprofits, and community partners with verified information and recovery resources.
Support Wildfire Recovery
Spokane Complex Wildfire Response Resources: Spokane Public Schools, Innovia Foundation, the City of Spokane, Spokane County, and the American Red Cross are compiling local resources available to support staff and families impacted by recent wildfires. One of the Chamber’s greatest strengths is bringing people and resources together. This centralized place makes it easier for organizations to connect with available resources while also giving businesses a clear path to contribute.
Innovia Foundation – Spokane Complex Wildfire Response Fund: Donations will support nonprofit organizations, businesses, and community organizations responding to the needs of those impacted throughout our region.
Need a Place to Work?
The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber office is open during regular business hours. If you have been impacted and need a place to work, connect to Wi-Fi, charge your devices, or simply have a place to regroup, please know you’re welcome to stop by. We are here to support our members and our community however we can.
Burbity Workspaces is offering free coworking space to anyone affected by the wildfires. If you, a family member, friend, or colleague needs a safe, comfortable place to work, study, or reconnect, Burbity’s staffed locations in Spokane Valley and Liberty Lake are available during business hours. YMCA of the Inland Northwest: To support the community, all Spokane YMCA locations are waiving Day Pass fees for anyone who has been evacuated due to the wildfires. Rest and recharge (including your devices), take a shower, and access a safe, welcoming space. Please note that a valid photo ID is required as part of the YMCA’s standard check-in process.
