Brian Scott started in STCU’s lending center as a loan officer in 2003. In 2008, he joined the accounting and finance team as a financial analyst where he stayed until his promotion to vice president of accounting and finance in 2019 and chief risk officer in 2023.

As chief risk officer, Brian oversees all aspects of the credit union’s loan underwriting and credit management, as well as loan operations. Additionally, he leads the risk management division including STCU’s financial crimes, compliance, and ERM teams.

Brian was raised in Spokane and graduated from Central Valley High School. He attended Washington State University where he completed his bachelor’s degree in finance and went on to attend Western Governors University to complete his MBA.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys snow skiing, golfing, and spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter.
