SPOKANE VALLEY, WA. – The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce (Valley Chamber) announced today that President and CEO Lance Beck will depart the organization after nearly seven and a half years of service to take on a new regional leadership role as Chief Strategy Officer with Greater Spokane Inc., effective early March.
Beck will continue to serve as President and CEO of the Valley Chamber through February and will assist as needed to support a smooth leadership transition.
During Beck’s tenure, the Valley Chamber experienced sustained growth and expanded its ability to serve members, doubling both the scope of its programming and the organization’s overall budget. This progress occurred during a period when many chambers nationwide faced contraction due to the pandemic, while the Valley Chamber strengthened its influence, deepened member engagement, and elevated Spokane Valley’s voice in regional economic and public policy discussions.
“Working alongside Lance — both at the Valley Chamber and through our shared regional work — I’ve seen firsthand the depth of his understanding of Spokane Valley and the value this perspective brings to broader regional efforts,” said Chud Wendle, Chair of the Valley Chamber Board of Directors. “He led with clarity, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to serving our business community. We are grateful for his leadership and confident in the strong foundation now in place at the Valley Chamber.”
Another defining element of Beck’s leadership was his ability to build trust and alignment in complex environments that required collaboration across differing perspectives among diverse groups of stakeholders and organizations. This experience, grounded in a deep understanding of Spokane Valley’s business community, positions Beck to bring meaningful value to Greater Spokane Inc. as it advances regionally focused strategies.
“Lance was deeply intentional about growing the Valley Chamber and keeping its focus squarely on supporting businesses throughout the greater Spokane Valley,” said Kevin Brockbank, Past-Chair of the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We’re incredibly appreciative of his leadership and the progress achieved during his tenure. Our community is fortunate that his experience and expertise will continue to support the region moving forward.”
I’m proud of what we accomplished together and confident in the organization’s leadership, board, and direction.

I look forward to supporting the Valley Chamber through this transition and continuing to advance our region through collaboration.”
The Valley Chamber enters its next chapter with an engaged Board of Directors, a strong leadership team, and a clear strategic direction. The Board will begin a thorough search process to identify the organization’s next President and CEO.
