2014 Awards of Excellence Finalists are announced

It is with great pleasure that the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce announces the finalists for the 2014 Awards of Excellence, a program recognizing business and community achievements.  The finalists for the following categories are:

 

Charity/Cultural Services Award:

Community Caring Award:

Central Valley School District

Toys for Tots

Modern Electric Water Co.

 

Entrepreneur Award:

MarketPad.com (new business in our incubator)

Barry Baker (for entrepreneurial vision in improving the community)

Small Business of the Year Award:

Simply Northwest

 

Large Business of the Year Award:

Itron

Horizon Credit Union

Mirabeau Park Hotel

Three additional categories to be announced are Educator of the Year from the school districts served by the Chamber, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, and Chamber Ambassador of the Year.

The award winners will be announced and presented with awards at the Annual Gem of the Valley Awards Gala the evening of Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Mirabeau Park Hotel in Spokane Valley.  The Gala, hosted by Ty Barbery, will feature entertainment, a gourmet dinner and special “Gem of the Valley” auction.

A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the 2014 Harry E. Nelson Citizen of the Year Award to Marlene “Marti” Hollenback, community contributor and Dealer Principal/President of Dishman Dodge Ram Chrysler Jeep, who was chosen as this year’s recipient.
