Spokane County Update and Getting to Know the SBA
The Government Action Committee got a visit from Spokane County Commissioners Josh Kerns and Mary Kuney, as well as Apollo Fuhriman from the U.S. SBA at our July 9th meeting. Our speakers gave the Committee an update on the state of Spokane County as we look towards 2019. The Commissioners have highlighted the great success of the Public Development Authority created in the West Plains to aid economic growth and of the Workforce Development Council for its success in helping County residents find gainful employment. Our Commissioners want everyone to be on the lookout for notice of a series of County budget workshops where County elected officials and staff will be seeking public input.
