In accordance with the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce bylaws, the Board of Directors has recently completed a review of the Chamber’s bylaws and is presenting the updated document to the Chamber membership for acceptance by way of vote.
Delivery of the ballots is done through email to each Member Business. Each Member Business’s “Primary Business Representative” will be the one receiving the ballot. Only one ballot per Member Business is sent. The Chamber requests that the “Primary Business Representative” consult with their organization’s leadership prior to casting the Member Business’s ballot. The individual casting the ballot will be asked to certify they are authorized to cast the ballot on behalf of their Member Business. Ballots will be sent on 10/14/2021. Submissions will be allowed through 8:00am on 10/28/2021.

The process for review and amendment is as follows:
Review and Amendment of Bylaws
Section 1: Review
At least every three years, the Chairperson of the Board will ask the Secretary to appoint a committee to review the bylaws. The committee will make recommendations to the board which, if approved by the board, will be submitted to the general membership for amendment.
Section 2: Amendment
The bylaws may be sent by mail, fax, electronic mail ballot or other online means providing that proposed changes accompany said ballot. The office of the Chamber shall remain open for the receipt of said ballots, delivered in person or by mail, during normal business hours on the 14th day after ballots with the proposed amendments have been delivered.
*If for any reason a member business believes they didn’t receive their email with access to vote, please contact the Chamber’s office at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
